PokerStars Ambassador Kerryjane Craigie is hosting the UK Ladies Weekend, a three-day event under the Women’s Poker Association banner, running October 16-18 at The Hippodrome Casino in London. Craigie, who also serves as Director of Poker at the venue, describes the gathering as an opportunity for both newcomers and experienced players to develop their skills.
The weekend opens on Friday, October 16, with women’s cash games at the casino, also broadcast live on YouTube with commentary and poker discussion for those unable to attend in person.
Saturday shifts focus to education, with a lineup of speakers including Jennifer, Marle, and Victoria covering mindset, tournament hand analysis, and structured study habits. The day also features an exclusive Q&A session with poker pro Maria Ho, followed by a four-course dinner catered by Heliot Steak House. Saturday’s sessions have already sold out.
The weekend culminates Sunday, October 18, with a women’s-only tournament starting at noon. The event carries a £300 buy-in, a 20,000 starting stack, 25-minute levels, and a £20,000 guarantee, with registration open from 11 a.m.
Craigie has also run qualifying events, including a monthly £35 Ladies Club satellite and a £33 online qualifier through PokerStars, with roughly 15 players already securing seats. Two qualifying opportunities remain before the main event.
The online qualifier additionally offers a five-day package to the Malta Poker Festival, where Craigie will host the Ladies First tournament on October 30, alongside hosts such as Michael Mizrachi.
