The 2026 PokerNews Online Championship (PNOC) Mystery Main Event has reached its final table, and 888 ambassador Aaron “abarone68” Barone is among the last eight standing. Barone, who already holds a PNOC title along with several deep runs this series, is seven eliminations away from a top prize of $21,098, plus any bounties he collects along the way.
The event drew 1,091 entrants, smashing its guarantee to build a $254,203 prize pool. Just 141 players survived to Day 2, with only eight reaching the final table. Play resumes at 7:00 p.m. GMT on October 27, continuing until a winner is determined.
The tournament’s biggest mystery bounties have already been claimed, including a $25,000 jackpot prize won by “d5t6y7,” who exited in 12th place and finished with $35,020 once other bounties were factored in.
Barone returns with 1,460,290 chips, or 37 big blinds, putting him fourth among the finalists. Chip leader “LookAround” holds 2,214,940, just 18 big blinds ahead of Barone. Fellow Canadian “for_science” sits second with 2,063,154, while “IOwnU888” trails Barone in fifth with 1,359,012.
Fans can watch the final table unfold on the 888 Twitch channel, with cards-up coverage airing on a one-hour delay starting at 8:00 p.m. GMT.
Separately, the $25 buy-in Mystery Mini Main concluded with Finland’s “Uivelo88” topping a 2,118-player field, striking a heads-up deal with Denmark’s “Seberbad” for $4,812 and $3,396 respectively. Barone also competed in that event but busted in 21st for $334.
