The World Poker Tour has rolled out a new promotion called Pimp My Home Game, giving one home poker host in the United States the chance to have their setup completely transformed. The initiative, announced this week, targets everyday game organizers rather than professional venues.
WPT is offering a $20,000 upgrade to the applicant judged to have the most in need of a makeover. Organizers say they are specifically seeking out the most chaotic or makeshift setups, with the goal of turning them into WPT-quality game nights.
Entry requires three simple steps. Applicants must submit a short video showing their current, ideally disorganized, game setup and explain why it deserves a revamp. They must also complete a brief application form before the entry period closes.
The submission deadline for the contest is September 22, leaving a short window for interested hosts to put together their videos and applications. Standard terms and conditions apply and are available for review before entering.
The promotion arrives as the World Poker Tour continues an active year on the tournament circuit, with upcoming stops including WPT Australia, WPT Prime Cyprus, WPT Prime Las Vegas, WPT Seoul, and the WPT World Championship. The organization has also built a strong presence online through WPT Global, its sweepscoins-based platform launched in April 2022.
For those who do not win or qualify, PokerNews offers its own home games resource section, featuring reviews of tables, chip sets, cards, and other equipment to help players upgrade their personal setups independently.
