The Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) is hosting two fundraising events in Las Vegas this weekend to benefit homeless and orphaned pets across Nevada.

The weekend begins Friday with “Fur the Love of Comedy,” a stand-up show at Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club. Las Vegas comedian Gabe Lopez will host the event, which features comedians Liz Stone and Chris Porter, the latter known for his Netflix special Ugly & Angry.

The comedy show starts at 5:30 p.m. local time, with ticket prices ranging from $42 to $80. All proceeds will go toward Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Nevada SPCA), a no-kill shelter serving the Las Vegas Valley.

On Saturday, CSOP will hold “Fur the Love of Poker,” a charity poker tournament at Via Brasil Steakhouse. The $150 buy-in event includes an all-you-can-eat dinner and open bar, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and cards in the air at 7 p.m.

The tournament will distribute $5,000 in cash prizes along with more than $9,000 in donated items, with all proceeds again benefiting Nevada SPCA. Executive Director Dr. Lori Heeren expressed gratitude for being chosen as a CSOP beneficiary, noting the funds will directly help save homeless pets in the community.

The charity weekend caps off a active summer for CSOP, which recently hosted its 100th charity poker tournament and an event organized by actress and conservationist Shannon Elizabeth.
