Caitlyn Jenner, best known for her Olympic decathlon gold and her role in Keeping Up With the Kardashians, recently tried a new challenge: poker. She competed in the Celebrity Poker Tour (CPT) Invitational XIII in Las Vegas, an event that brought together numerous athletes and influencers.

Speaking with PokerNews, Jenner admitted she was largely new to the game, joking about being a “professional poker player” before revealing she had only played a handful of times in the past.

She wasn’t alone in her inexperience. Reality star Holly Madison, seated next to Jenner throughout the tournament, said she was also early in her “poker journey,” despite having received guidance from five-time WSOP bracelet winner Jeff Madsen.

Jenner received a private lesson at the PokerGO Studio the day before the event and found herself at a feature table alongside former NBA player Nate Robinson, content creators Camilla Araujo and Tana Mongeau, and eventual tournament winner N3on. She was eliminated before the money finished but shared her philosophy on the game, emphasizing careful, forward-moving strategy paired with the necessity of good cards.

The tournament carried a $15,000 top prize for the winner.

While Jenner remains a poker newcomer, her daughter Kylie Jenner has embraced the game enthusiastically, even releasing a poker-themed masterclass with Vanity Fair. Caitlyn noted that Kylie was envious of her CPT appearance, adding that Kylie and boyfriend Timothée Chalamet enjoy playing poker together, though she has never personally played with her daughter to gauge her skill.
