Shrikant Pillamarapu has won the $1,100 WPT Prime Lodge Championship, a $1 million guaranteed event held at The Lodge Card Club in Texas. He defeated Kenneth Quattrocchi heads-up after the two agreed to a chop before playing out the remaining chips.

Pillamarapu arrived at the final table on Monday as the shortest stack, though his 25 big blinds left him plenty of room to maneuver. He steadily built his stack through the day, eventually overtaking his opponents to claim the title.

One of the final table’s defining moments came when Quattrocchi held A♣5♣ for an ace-high flush on a board of K♦9♣8♣10♣. After calling a bet worth roughly half the pot, he faced a river shove from Pillamarapu, who had completed a straight flush with A♦J♣ when the Q♣ landed. Quattrocchi correctly folded after a lengthy tank.

Earlier in three-handed play, Pillamarapu, Quattrocchi, and David Urban were offered an ICM chop by Lodge staff. Urban, holding the shortest stack, declined the deal and chose to continue playing.

That decision backfired almost immediately. Urban moved all in with Q♦Q♣ against Quattrocchi’s A♥7♦, but an ace on the flop sent him out in third place for $75,000 — about $10,000 less than the rejected chop would have paid.

Quattrocchi and Pillamarapu then struck their own deal before finishing the match, with Pillamarapu winning the final hand. He earned $148,527 along with a $10,400 seat into the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas in December, while Quattrocchi collected $126,733 as runner-up.
