Benny “RunGodlike” Glaser has added another chapter to his dominant World Championship of Online Poker history, winning WCOOP 44-H: $1,050 8-Game on PokerStars. The victory earned him $21,400 after he defeated Markus “O.Klunssila” Ristola heads-up.
The win marks Glaser’s 17th WCOOP title overall and his 29th COOP title win in total, extending a remarkable run that began with his first WCOOP crown in 2018. He has captured at least one WCOOP title every year since, with the exception of 2024.
Notably, this triumph represents Glaser’s first-ever WCOOP title in the 8-Game format, despite his extensive history across a wide variety of poker disciplines. He also reached his first final table of this year’s series in the process.
Speaking on Instagram, Glaser described the win as a “battle” and said it provided a welcome morale boost heading into the rest of the WCOOP schedule.
The $1,050 8-Game title is Glaser’s tenth WCOOP-H level victory, adding to two WCOOP-L and five WCOOP-M titles previously won. It also marks the 11th different poker format in which he has claimed a WCOOP championship.
Glaser’s biggest single WCOOP payout came in 2023, when he earned $55,706 for winning the $320 NLHE 6-Max Freezeout, a field of 1,175 players. Five other WCOOP wins in his career have come in larger fields than that event.
